Tracing our common ancestry with all other multicellular life 
over the last billion years of evolutionary time. 
A 12.5k hike where each average stride = 60,000 years.

There will be a presentation at the Mississauga Central Library on the Ancestor's Trail and the book that inspired this hike - The Ancestor's Tale, by Richard Dawkins.

Sun. 6/23 8:00 AM Ancestor's Trail Hike Starting at Erindale Park, the hike registration will begin at 8:00am. Hikers will then proceed along the trail, stopping at various rendezvous along the way when we had a common ancestry with other significant life forms over the last billion years... more
